One Pill Can Kill: A Fentanyl Awareness Town Hall

WAR ON FENTANYL
Fentanyl is a synthetic opioid that is now the deadliest drug circulating on the illegal drug market. It is 50 times stronger than heroin and 100 times stronger than morphine. Just two milligrams, or the equivalent of two grains of salt, is enough to kill a person.

Preliminary data shows there were 7,280 fentanyl overdose deaths in California from September 2022 through August 2023, which accounts for almost 91% of all opioid-related overdose deaths during that same period.

TOWN HALL
Please join me for a community town hall on the urgent matter of fentanyl. This event will feature representatives from the California Highway Patrol, Downey Fire Department, Kaiser Permanente, and WOLF (War On Lethal Fentanyl). They will provide valuable insight and information on the dangers of fentanyl, preventative measures, as well as address questions submitted in advance.

Saturday, February 17
10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Columbia Memorial Space Center
