Every Woman Counts Program (EWC)

If all women age 40 and older took advantage of early detection methods, such as getting a mammography plus a clinical breast exam, breast cancer death rates could drop dramatically. The key to mammography screening is that it should be done on a regular basis, because once is just not enough.

This year, National Mammography Day is October 21. Mammography facilities around the country will offer reduced-fee screenings not only on the 21st but throughout the month of October.
